Welcome to Instrumental Music!

Welcome! My name is Mrs. Katherine Gillen and I teach instrumental music here in the Allentown School District! I serve four elementary schools in the district:  Dodd, Lehigh Parkway, Roosevelt, and Jefferson. This is my fourth year teaching and my third in the Allentown School District, and I am so excited to be working with Allentown students and families for another year!  I graduated from West Chester University in 2018 with my Bachelor’s Degree in music education and music performance, and am currently attending WCU again in pursuit of my Master’s Degree. 

In my free time I enjoy hiking, cross-stitching, cooking, and of course, playing my French Horn. If you have any questions about your student participating in instrument lessons, feel free to email or call!
