Hello families! This is my 17th year teaching Life Skills Support in the Allentown School District. In my classroom, we learn all the strategies to have a successful school career through play, creative activities and opportunities for students to shine. My goal is for my students to always feel loved, supported and valued in our classroom and school community. When I am not dancing and learning with my students, I am a busy mother of 5. My husband and I love to travel and take our 3 year old pit mix, Winnie, on new adventures. I also enjoy watching my boys play sports and going to the beach with my whole family. --Mrs. Galusha

Hi, Families! This is my 10th year teaching Special Education, my 5th year at Dodd. In 243, we work hard to create a positive, inviting classroom climate where all students feel welcome and safe to take risks educationally and socially. We are a family of learners where everyone is a friend. In my personal life, I am married to a Middle School teacher, we have a 16 month old son, Brooks, and a 2 year old yellow lab, Finley. I love cooking, gardening, anything outdoors, and organizing.  --Mrs. Cameron

Hi!  I am Katie Colon, the Learning Support Teacher in the 1st and 2nd grade at Dodd. This is my 19th year as a special education teacher. I have taught many students over the years in Learning Support, Pre-K Early Intervention and Life Skills.  I love to sing, be outdoors and enjoy doing yoga. I am also learning how to play the piano. I am so excited to help my students become reading rockets and mindful learners this year!
My name is Mrs. Bear. This is my 4th year teaching in Allentown and my 11th year of teaching. During my free time, I like to read, cook ,hike, and spend quality time with my family. This year, I hope to continue to grow as a professional and create a welcoming atmosphere for all who enter my classroom.

Hello Families my name is Miss Hilmer! I am the Emotional Support teacher for grades 3-5 here at Dodd! This will be my 4th year as an Emotional Support teacher and my 2nd year here in the Allentown School District! I got my degree at Kutztown University in both Early Childhood and Special Education. When I am not at school, I often go by Coach as I am a cheerleading coach for a nearby district! Within my classroom we will work on academics, self-regulation, emotion management, and social skills. Most importantly this year we will work together to create and provide a safe space in which all students are supported, loved for who they are, and pushed to be the best versions of themselves daily!
